The Super Blue tastes fine (tart with a smooth texture), but not even remotely close to the funky flavors of a blue cheese. They add spirulina to make it “blue.” Hope they start experimenting with culturing it with Penicillium roquefort - a vegan restaurant near me does this with great results.

Super Blue is a great cheese! It’s delicious and reasonably priced. I’ve had vegan cheeses that are double the price and taste terrible. Haven’t been able to get it at my usual spots (MOMS and Sprouts). It’s nice to know I can get it online.

I was vegetarian for about 20 years. As I learned more about the lives of dairy cows, I wanted to go vegan but just couldn’t stop eating cheese….until I developed colitis and found that all dairy products made my disease worse. So now fully vegan for 25 years, I had completely given up on finding a cheese substitute that tastes anything like real cheese. But WOW, here it is! I’ve tried the Blue and Brie , and can’t wait to try everything else, including the butter and cream cheese. THANK YOU!!
